About the Department
Department of Paramedical a constituent of Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology (NAAC A+ accredited) was initiated in 2023 with affiliation from Punjab Govt. State University named Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda. The focus of department is to recruit, educate, and prepare highly competent Paramedical Professionals to serve their patients and the healthcare profession while demonstrating high ethical and moral standards and the utmost in technical competence with placement provisions. A rich course specific Doctorate Faculty resource, each holding Doctoral Degree with diverse skill sets, are engaged in intensive curriculum with students.
Program Overview
Department provides a very supportive culture for learning and conducting research amidst state of art facilities and laboratories with a wide range of in practice facilities. We collaborate with various Government as well as private healthcare institutions, hospitals i.e. AIIMS, Max Super Speciality, Care Hospital, Medicity, Civil and diagnostic centres to facilitate job placements for qualified graduates. To ensure the practical exposure variousWorkshops,Seminars, Conferences, Expert Doctors Talks,regular visits to Hospitals& Medical Universities, In&out house internships and Medical Campshave beenorganized regularly to disseminate developments in the discipline of Paramedical Sciences.Students learn about diagnostic procedures, therapeutic interventions, patient care, and medical ethics. The curriculum includes hands-on training, clinical rotations, and theoretical coursework to prepare students for real-world healthcare settings.TheDepartment offers programs such as MedicalLaboratory Science, Radio Medical Imaging, Anesthesia, Operation theatre technology and many more. Graduates from this department will contribute significantly to healthcare teams, assist doctors and nurses in diagnosing illnesses, performing medical tests, providing rehabilitative care, and ensure the overall quality medical professional.
