The basic job of an engineer is to plan , design and execute the various structures an machines such as roads, bridges , dams, multi story building, engines etc. the first requirement for all these jobs is to know the magnitude and nature of various forces and their effects on the structure to be executed and for calculations
of all there forces as well as strength of them, the Strength of Material Lab of department of Mechanical Engineering is well equipped with all the testing machines like Universal Testing Machine, Torsional Testing Machine, Fatigue Testing Machine, Spring Testing Machine, Hardness Testing Machine etc to make the students well know ledged in practical also.
Theory of Machine Lab
Theory of machine is the core subject of mechanical Engineering. It gives essential knowledge about things essential in engineering discipline. Well established laboratory contain all the equipments and models which impart knowledge about every point necessary fro all aspect to students for better understanding and knowledge about subject point of view, so a practical approach is given to students so every doubt regarding concept is cleared to students.
Fluid Machinery Lab
Fluid Machinery is the core subject of Mechanical Engineering. It gives essential knowledge about application of hydraulics in engineering discipline. Therefore a clear insight into the subject matter is required keeping this in mind , Fluid Machinery Lab has been established in the Mechanical Engineering department which is fully equipped with machinery like Pelton wheel, Francis turbine, Hydraulic ram & compressors.
Applied Thermodynamics Lab
Applied Thermodynamics is a basic subject offered in the engineering curriculum. It is the backbone of all subjects in the thermal engineering stream. Therefore a clear insight into the subject matter is required keeping this in mind , Applied Thermodynamics Lab has been established in the Mechanical Engineering department which is fully equipped with machinery like cut sections models of various engines, boilers & compressors.
Heat Transfer Lab
This lab is helpful for students to understand the various modes of heat transfer and what the various factor which affect the performance of equipments. The lab is equipped with apparatus like natural convection, thermal conductivity of liquid, thermal conductivity of guarded hot plate, critical heat flux, pin fin apparatus, forced convection, Stefan boltzman apparatus, heat pipe demonstrator and film and drop wise condensation.
Mechanical Measurements & Metrology Lab
Metrology is the science of engineering measurements. It is concerned with the methods, execution, & estimation of accuracy of measurements & measuring instruments. In an industrial organization, it is necessary to determine the process capabilities & ensure that these are better than the relevant component tolerances.MMM laboratory covers areas of linear and angular measurements, limits, fits and guages, screw thread measurements, RPM measurements, Dead weight tester.
Industrial Automation and Robotics Lab
Industrial Automation Lab imparts essential knowledge about application of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits which are essential parts of automatic machinery e.g. Robots, Automatic Machines etc. The Lab is fully equipped with trainers of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and cut section models of various components such as various valves, cylinders, compressors etc. used in these circuits.
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Lab
This is essential subject which is offered in Mechanical Engineering which provides knowledge about various vapour compression refrigeration system and air conditioning system. This lab is fully equipped with Domestic refrigeration system, various cut section of equipments, ice plant trainer, Electro lux refrigeration system and air conditioning trainer.
Automobile Engineering Lab

CAD/CAM Lab
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) is one in which the functions and motions of a machine tool are controlled by means of a prepared program containing coded alphanumeric data. CNC can control the motions of the workpiece or tool, the input parameters such as feed, depth of cut, speed, and the functions such as turning spindle on/off, turning coolant on/off.
Material Science & Metallurgy Lab
In this lab microstructure of metals are examined before and after the treatment thus effect of heat treatment on the various mechanical properties id determined Muffle Furnace, Quenching Bath, Linisher Belt, Microscope Metrological Cutting Machine are major equipment of the lab.
