Labs
Electrical Machines-I & Machines-II Lab

The electrical machine laboratory is intended specifically to meet the needs of modern courses in electrical machines. It is used at undergraduate level for studying the characteristics and operation of dc, induction, synchronous and special electrical machines using state of the art teaching modules.  The subjects that are covered in this manual include: characteristics of dc motors and dc generators ( separate, series, shunt &

compound), determining the parameters and performance  characteristics of transformers, and finally the starting methods, control and performance of 3-phase induction motors.

Semiconductor Devices & Circuit

EDC (Electronics Devices and Circuits) is one of the basic subjects, which is included in various engineering branches. The knowledge of this subject is required in our day to day life, right from the time we are made to leave our bed in morning by a ringing alarm clock up till the time we get into the bed at night, following the time by the same clock. The lab comprises of combination of basic Semi-conductor Devices as well as Circuit Theory. It explains in ample detail the basics and the relevant knowledge of the two subjects that enriches the practical visualization of the students, which helps students to attain clarity about the subject. This Lab is well equipped with various kits, like: Diode Characteristics, Rectifiers, Filter Designing, Oscillators, etc. that help students to gain the practical overview of the respective device or circuit, which they have been taught during their theoretical lectures.

Power System-Ii Lab

Power system Laboratory comprises of protection, high voltage and machine related experiments. Facilities are available for over current, under voltage, directional, differential and distance relays including different numerical relays and other testing facilities that help students to gain the practical overview of the respective equipment or circuit, which they have been taught during their theoretical lectures.

Digital Electronics Lab 1

Digital Electronics deals with the requirements of the latest world, which is entirely based on the concept of digitization for its basic needs. This also forms an important part of curriculum of Electrical Engineering. The Digital Electronics Lab in the institute comprises of various advanced digital kits that serve as aid for the students to develop keen & clear understanding towards the subject. With the help of the apparatus available in this laboratory, a student can closely understand the working of various Digital GATES, devices and circuits. After going through all the experiments of this lab, a student will be thorough with all the minute concepts of Digital Electronics.

Power Electronics & Drives Lab

Power Electronics is a subject that deals with the devices that are capable of handling high voltage (or current) ratings. It mainly finds its use in the devices designed to be used at Industrial level. It also refers to a subject of research in electrical engineering which deals with design, control, computation and integration of non linear, time varying energy processing electronic systems with fast dynamics. Theory, Practice & Organization provides an up-to-date and balanced coverage of all important power electronic devices including experiments on converters using new power electronic devices such as IGBTs, Power MOSFETs, etc. It serves as a practical and necessary supplement to the main text for undergraduate students of electrical and electronics engineering.

BEE Lab (Basic Of Electrical Engineering Lab)

The BEE lab is a very basic lab which gives complete practical overview of theoretical concepts of basic electrical and electronics engineering giving the students an opportunity to see practical views and get practical knowledge. The BEE lab consist of various latest equipments and panels like Single and Three phase Transformers, DC motor, Three phase induction Motor, LVDT, logic gates kit etc.

Control System Lab

This lab gives practical shape to various control processes covered in the theoretical portion of the course Linear Control System. This lab consists of various equipments which are use to perform various open and closed loop processes which completely translates the theoretical knowledge of students into practical knowledge. This lab also has its application in automation industries.

Electrical Measurement and Instrumentation Lab

This is lab which consist of various electrical measuring instruments. This lab gives the practical view of various measuring instruments to the students. This lab gives the students a complete practical view that how the measurements can taken and also about the various calibrations.

Simulation Lab (Power System Analysis Lab)

This lab makes easy to innovate new researches. Before implementing the data on hard projects, It is simulated & verified in this lab. This lab is fully equipped with required softwares (i.e E-TAP & MATLAB) & tools with favorable environment.

Instrumentation & Measuring Devices Lab

The purpose of this laboratory is to acquaint you with several of the electronic instruments that you will be using routinely in future labs. You will be asked to use these instruments to perform a number of simple measurements, but you will not always be given step-by-step instructions on how to use them.
